About Copse22

Free web directory

Copse22 is an open web directory — a running ledger of websites organised into 22 subject columns. The register currently holds 825 approved entries, each filed voluntarily by the site operator. There is no charge to browse and no account required to use the directory.

The directory operates on simple principles: a site files its record, the filing is reviewed for obvious problems, and if it passes, the entry is placed in the most fitting column. The 22 columns cover a broad range of subject matter, from financial services and medical practices to catering, construction, and general submissions. Sites that span more than one subject are placed in the General Entries column.

Copse22 does not rank entries within a column, weight entries by commercial relationship, or accept payment to alter placement. Every listed site appears in the same format — name, address, and description — without artificial prominence. What you see in the ledger is a straightforward account of what has been filed.

Operators who wish to place their site in the register may do so using the submission form. The form asks for the site address, a category selection, a title, and a brief description. Once submitted, entries are reviewed and either placed in the ledger or returned if they do not meet the basic filing requirements. The process is free and carries no obligation.

The Copse22 register is maintained as a long-form tally of sites across the open web. It is not exhaustive and does not claim to be — it is simply a record of what has been submitted and accepted to date. The ledger grows as new filings arrive and is updated on a rolling basis.
